Order of posts

  • I have created a family history blog, which is a story in bite size “post” pieces. So far I have four posts, but they appear in reverse order – i.e. the first one I wrote is at the bottom of my blog rather than the top – is this normal? Can I change the order?

  • You can do this by changing the timestamp on each. It is located down on the right in the when you edit the post. You need the first post to be the latest time.

    Yes that is normal.
    Blogs always put the more recent stuff at the top.

    See if someone has written a clever reverse post order plug-in…. Oh yes:

    Looks like it does the job (I haven’t tried it though).

    has anyone found a fix for the 2.3x problem of changing the order whether in a plugin or a query? It just plain ISN’T working anymore. How can such a major difference between versions go A) un-mentioned in the “changes” for 2.3x and B) unfixed for so long, despite NUMEROUS posts about it being broken?

    nevermind, sorry for wasting bandwidth. I figured out my problems. WHEW… I am glad that it isn’t an issue in 2.3.2!

    I had actually created a custom category.php file for this category, so of course, adding any code failed to work since I added it to the generic category.php file.
