Creating Folders For Users Stoages In Backend/Server Side

  • I am wondering if it possible to create years and month to month folder system for when users upload through the year within server, just like how the WordPress uploads folder for media library. For example, every year and month a new folder is created and all the content that all users upload remains within them dates.

    OR…

    Is there a way that each user (by username) has a folder created within the server end so all files that are uploaded via Buddydrive remains within each folder/directory?

    I will be needing this so all files will not end up in one folder/directory so they can be automatically sorted out just like uploads do within the WordPress media library. For example if I have 30,000 users all uploading files to the some folder it will be harder for me to maintain them in the backend/on server. Having way to many files within one folder is not good, it makes it hard to maintain and also hosting providers like Godaddy does not allow over 1024 files within one folder in there unlimited hosting account. Also when I make backups of files (upload files such as zip etc) I usually zip/achieve them and download them, but it will make them very large files doing it this way, as some of my files are already 400GB zips files and as time goes on they will just get bigger.
