    Hi all!
    I’d like to have my footer to be white with black text. It is currently white with black text, but has a grey box behind it. How do I get rid of the grey box?Also, how do I change the font size? I’d like to make my menu items/titles to be smaller…
    Lastly…how do I add Product Category Photos with links to my front/main page? I went to the Homepage Control section, but there are no widgets to drag… When I click on the info, it doesn’t say anything about the widgets not being there…
    Thanks so much for any help that you may offer!

    My site is sleeneys.com.
    Thank you!!

    1. Use the css I posted here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/menus-titkes-gallery-etc?replies=22

    2. You can make the font larger with this css:

    #containerfooter .menu li a {
    font-size: 20px;
    }

    3. You can use the woocommerce shortcodes to add product categories:

    Hi. Thanks so much!
    The grey box is still there….
    I thought I was supposed to add category pages through the Homepage Control…add it to the right side of the screen, etc. Hmm…. So, do I add the shortcake to my Home page? I am so sorry to be on your nerves, as I’m sure that I am. I’m sorry!
    If I could speak to a person, this would take about 10 minutes instead of numerous messages…
    Anyway, thank you!

    …add the shortCODE… stupid autocorrect. ??

    I don’t see the css I posted on the other topic on your site. Clear your super cache and then check your css for errors.

    If you look at the link above you can read all about adding shortcodes for woocommerce.

    Something like this: [product_categories number=”12″ parent=”0″]

    You can read about the home page here (remember premium would have a lot more options).

    I do not mind buying the premium version if this would be easier for me to do. I want something so simple and basic that it has been hard to find. And I definitely do better with the drag and drop (I, obviously, am not good with CSS!).
    What do you think?
    THANK YOU!!!

    Does Virtue support the Homepage Control action hook? Options are just not showing up… I should be able to just drag them from the left menu to the right… Thanks!!

    I don’t know what your asking. A shortcode is not css. If you have woocommerce products and categories you can add the shortcode right into your home page content. did you look at the links I sent?

    I’m sorry if I’m confusing.
    So, when I go to Appearance, then Theme Options, then Home Layout (Disabled and Enabled), there aren’t many categories to Enable (product categories, for example). I should be able to drag widgets/options over, as far as I know. Same thing with Appearance, then Customize, then Homepage Control. I should have options (Product Categories, for example) here that I can add/drag to my homepage.
    I don’t really know what a shortcode is and I’ve read so much that it’s all running together.
    All I want are 5 product categories (Clothes, Accessories, etc) on my front/main page under my gallery and above my footer bar that people can see and click on.
    I don’t think I should even have to know about short codes, according to these two ways of adding/deleting things on my main page (categories, sale items, etc)…
    Thanks!!

    For example, under Customize, Homepage Layout, this is what shows up: “No homepage components found. See the docs for details of available homepage component plugins/themes”. I should have options here to “add” to my page (by dragging over)

    Maybe Virtue is not compatible???

    All I need to do is add products to whatever/wherever. Or find someone that I can pay to finish this for me.
    Ugghhh…. This is a nightmare.
    Sorry. I am frustrated. It should not be this difficult. I know it is me.
    This is just. not. my. thing.
    Thank you for your patience and help!!!

    So sorry for you struggles. I know how frustrating this can be.
    Did you follow the tutorial that KT posted? https://www.kadencethemes.com/creating-a-home-page-with-virtue/
    So you would just got to Settings > Reading and set your front page to a static page. Then go to pages and open the page you just set as the front page and paste this shortcode in the visual editor: [product_categories number=”12″ parent=”0″]
    Then in Theme Options > Home Layout enable Page Content in the Homepage Layout Manager.
    Does this make sense?

    Thank you so much, Hannah! I added this shortcode and it gave me one category photo. So, I’ve added it five times, since I need five categories. How can I change this to make two rows of category pics? Also, to change the wording. I’d rather the text be under the pic instead of on top of the pic and in a different font.
    I’ll read more about it, too.
    Thank you SO much for your patience with me!
    I still don’t understand why the Homepage Control doesn’t give me the options…
    THANK YOU!!!!!!

    Thread Starter sleeneys

    (@sleeneys)

    Oh! The tutorial is where I was getting the info to drag the options over (Homepage). Mine does not give me those options, though. I don’t have the options to drag over…??? If I had those options like I think I’m supposed to, this would be so much easier. I did watch it yesterday. Thank you!

    (@sleeneys)

    These are the only options that I have:
    https://www.sleeneys.com/wp-admin/themes.php?page=kad_options
    At the 1:52 and about 2:40 mark, he has many more options. What happened to mine? Strange….
    Thank you so much!!
