WordPress Just Wouldn’t Save/Publish My Post…

  • Hi Guys,

    Last Sat while I was typing a new post for my blog through firefox, the platform went bonkers? I was able to see the editing screen…but it showed the front page of my blog too. I did not managed to get a screenshot.

    It was sort of the editing screen and the front page of my blog blending together. WordPress was displaying “Saving…” but never got to save the draft. First time I saw this happening.

    Fearing the worst, I clicked on the save and edit button. Unfortunately my changes wasn’t save. I subsequently tried to complete my post via the visual editor and the code editor. Tried to save my work…but it just wouldn’t save or publish the changes.

    I’m using WordPress 2.2.1, and TinyMCE advanced from laptoptips.ca. I have been using both just fine, and did not install any plugins or made any changes whatsoever.

    Anyone encountered this problem? ??

    I was able to see the editing screen…but it showed the front page of my blog too.

    That’s probably because of som settings on your host server.

    If I remember well, the fix is to add a .htaccess file to your wp-admin folder with this content:

    <IfModule mod_security.c>
SecFilterInheritance Off
</IfModule>
