• I saw a post about this from April and something saying this was fixed but it seems to not be fixed. Updated to Jetpack 3.6 now site RSS feed is not working. I get this: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

With a bunch of other info below it (appears to the the same issue that was happening in April), I also have a client that is having the same issue with their feed. No other changes have been made to either website.

    This message you say:

: This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

It is not an error message, it is just informing you to expect to see the raw XML – which is what you do see, right?

That is what an RSS feed is. Perhaps you had something installed that redirected people to another page before, and now that redirection isn’t working.

Yes, that’s what I’m seeing. That’s not how it was before, it’s supposed to be a way for people to subscribe to your feed. Even when you hover over the link it says “Subscribe to Posts”.

Originally it was like what you’re seeing now, but do you remember how you got it to display something different?

I never did anything to it, I just added the widget to my sidebar.

    What plugins do you have?

    Thread Starter ReneeL66

    (@reneel66)

The plugins that I have, that my client also has, are Akismet, Jetpack, PopupAlly, and WordPress SEO by Yoast.

Bumping, still need to resolve this. I need an RSS subscription link on my sidebar and so does my client.

I don’t know what to else to tell you other than your RSS feed is working if it’s outputting this message:

This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.

Maybe it’s working as a feed but it’s not working as a “subscribe to”, how would someone subscribe to my feed just by clicking on this link?

How is that link there to begin with?

    Thread Starter ReneeL66

    (@reneel66)

It’s a Jetpack widget for RSS.

You need to post on your plugin’s support section here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/jetpack#postform
