Shariff button language: auto does not work correctly

    Shariff Wrapper 2.3.4 and WP 4.2.2:

    I set Shariff button language to “auto”. But they appear in German only. I set the favorite language to English in the browser but I use a German OS (Gnu/Linux) and Chromium and Firefox. Same on both browsers.

    Even when I start the browser in English with “LANG=C chromium-browser” I got the button test in German.

    When I set the button language to whatever language they appear in that language. Only “auto” does not work.

    Reply in German or English whatever you like. Thank you.

    That is plain and simple a bug. Thanks for reporting. We will fix it.

    Will be fixed with the next release that is currently in development / testing. If there are no major complication, the release should be live on Monday. Until then I recommend to set the language manually to the main language of your page.

    Version 2.4.0 was just released. The automatic button language should now work correctly again.

    Please be aware that the automatic button language does not work, if you are using a caching plugin, because in that case the caching plugin is actually requesting the pages and not the browser of your visitor. Therefore you need to set a fixed language, if you are using a caching plugin.
