• Hi Oscar,
I have a website with two currencies. AU currency for people in Australia and US currency for everyone outside of Australia.
I’ve noticed over the last week in screen recording of sessions and in my own experience that sometimes AU currency is shown for people outside of Australia. How is it possible that someone in Europe or USA will have an Australian IP address? I don’t think this is possible, so something else is going wrong. Do you have any insights? I like the plugin and I don’t want to change to another one. I’ll definitely donate once this huge issue is fixed. Thanks for your hard work.

Hi! version 1.3.2 of WC Price Based Country is using WooCommerce geolocation function so it is unlikely that the ip geolocation is not working properly.

Your problem may be happening for some of these reason:

    • If you have installed a cache plugin. Geolocation function not works fine with static cache plugin. Fortunately this bug will be solved in WooCommerce 2.4 read more in WooCommerce Develop Blog…
    • Session data store. When you change shipping country in checkout page, this value is store in the session and it will be used on future visits to the page.
    • Your base shop country is Australia. If your base country is Australia and you don’t have included visitor’s country in plugin’s settings, the default prices will be show.

    Check above and comment.

    Cheers!

    Hi Oscar,
Thanks for that, I think it was the cache plugin. I should have guessed. I also realised there was another issue which was causing a problem which I’ve fixed. I’ve done some testing again and it all looks good but I will wait a few days to see if anything crops up. Thanks again for the quick response.!

    Hi Oscar,

Thank you for an amazing plug. I also have the above mentioned issue and I’m using W3 Total Cache. Can you please help me what cache exceptions to add to W3TC in order to eliminate caching of geolocation?
