Ok…..I’m not an expert on all of wp’s trim/filter functions but it looks like at line 178 in your includes/functions you are calling the excerpt, applying filters and then wp_trim_words. wp_trim_words seems to be removing the html how that’s not documented and when looking at that function I don’t see anything removing that html…….unless someone added a filter to do it.

Anyway….I would think an extended posts widget should allow us to have html.

    Hi graftedin,
    I’m sorry for late reply.

Are you familiar with hook or filter? Because changing the way the excerpt work needed some code to add to your theme.

I tried changing filters in my theme. I tried rewriting them but nothing seemed to work. The only thing I could do was modify your code. If you are positive your code is not doing any thing that would remove the html I’ll believe you and assume that there must be something buried in my theme that’s doing it.
