Gallery caption

Hi,

I am using the Charitas-lite theme on a website for a childrens charity. I am having a strange problem with the captions not showing on a gallery post with thumbnails (4 x 3). I’ve also tried it as a standard post format but no joy.

Whilst editing the post in the visual tab, the gallery shows correctly with the images and the captions shown under the thumbnail images. But, in the preview mode and also on the live website the gallery displays with the images but the captions don’t show under the images.

Can you advise why the captions show whilst editing the post but not on the front end website? How do I get the captions to show under the images in the gallery on the website?
