Schedule Updates – when does it start from?

Hello
With the new “Schedule Updates” for the site map there’s an option for daily, weekly or monthly.
If I select weekly when does the schedule start from? The moment I start it? eg, 7 days later to the minute. Or does it have a set time to update?
