Do you have any thoughts as to why, when I have the “Use an accessible sitemap” option selected on one of my sites, it would take over the front page?

The really strange thing is, I have two separate sites that are configured extremely similarly, and one of them is showing the widgetized home page with no problems; the other, when I activate “Use an accessible sitemap” disappears and gets replaced with that accessible sitemap.

I am using the Outreach Pro child theme with a handful of customizations.

On both sites, I have exactly the same Genesis Accessible settings and exactly the same WP Accessibility settings. I can’t really even find any appreciable differences in the Genesis Settings, or even other standard WordPress settings.

Thanks in advance for any advice or troubleshooting tips you might be able to share.

I found the issue and solved it. After digging a little bit through your code, I noticed that the Accessible Sitemap is meant to replace anything using the page_archive.php Page Template. That caused me to check & see if someone had specified a page template for the front page, and it turns out that they had.

The site that was working properly was set to use the Default Template for its static/widgetized front page, but the site that wasn’t working correctly was set to use the Archive template for its static/widgetized front page.

After editing the page to use the Default Template, everything seems to be right in the world again. Thanks.
