Quantity field display in shopping cart not wide enough

We sell fabric by the cm, mininum length 100cm. We can display the quantity okay on the product page by adding an id to the input in the quantity-input.php, but we might we can’t find a way to show all of the quantity in the shopping cart; the width is just too small.

The only way we have found has also set the minimum quantity to 1, which is no good for us because our minimum quantity is 100cm.

Can anyone help with styling the width of the quantity input field in the shopping cart?
