How does the purchasing process work?

We are in the process of switching a site to the Bigcommerce platform. We also have a site powered by WordPress, that we’d like to feature the products on our Bigcommerce site. Will this plug-in help us? How does the checkout process work? To purchase, are customers redirected to the Bigcommerce cart, or do they complete their purchase through the WordPress site? Thank you for your help!
