    Hello, I just upgraded to the newest version of MailChimp for WordPress.

    I tested my forms with throwaway email addresses from both 10minutemail.com and 10minutemail.net. The form showed a success message. I never received confirmation emails. I did test those email addresses with other services and they are successfully receiving emails.

    I checked my MailChimp account and did not see those email addresses listed.

    I then tested with one of my emails (from my tarawilder.com domain). I saw a success message. I never received an email, however, I did see that I was subscribed to my list.

    I did all of this testing using the Twenty Fifteen theme.

    What could the issue be?

    Hello allegrovivo,

    I assume you are talking about the “Email Verfication” email sent to new subscribers to confirm their email? If not please do let me know.

    The welcome/confirmation email is sent by MailChimp.com and not by us. So it’s not possible for us to know what would affect the email delivery. Also it would not depend on which theme you are using.

    However, we have noticed this from other tickets that for some emails, the confirmation email can take more than 12 hours to be delivered. We are not sure the cause of this and have not received any detailed answers from MailChimp.com.

    If you can share the link to your website where the form is placed, I could try testing myself.

    Hi Harish, thanks for the reply. Yes, I am referring to the confirmation email.

    I took down the subscription forms and replaced them with regular forms for the time being. I have put up a test page for you that you can use to test the plugin: https://ourgentlegiants.com/test/

    I tested the forms and did not get any notification emails. Can you please share screenshot of your “MailChimp for WP > Forms” page.

    Hi Harish,

    I went to do that, but I noticed that I didn’t have “double opt-in” enabled. I would say that is silly of me, but I definitely did have it enabled before updating the plugin.

    I checked my list and I do see your email and support’s email added. I do not see my 10minutemail addresses. I wonder if it’s because MailChimp has recognized their domains as being spam?

    No problem I’m glad it’s working now. Regarding spam, it could also be that you might have tried signing up with the same email multiple times too fast. Sometimes the verification email just takes way to long to be delivered.
