Website is redirecting to other site

When I go to Google and search for one of my keywords search result shows my site url with title of another site and when i click on I’m redirected to https://www.rbbnew.com. However if I just enter my URL address in my browsers address bar I am taken to my site. I can’t seam to figure out what’s going on here. Can anyone suggest me the solution ?

Any one help how to fix this issue?

Are you using any redirect plugin, or any redirect snippet in .htaccess or any other file?

Start with :
– check your .htaccess file
– check your wp-config.php file

– Try deactivating ALL (yes all) plugins temporarily to see if this resolves the problem (plugin functions can interfere). If this works, re-activate them individually (one-by-one) to find the problematic plugin(s).

Is theme cause any redirection?

Try switching to the unedited default Twenty Fifteen theme for a moment using the WP dashboard to rule out any theme-specific issue.

Hi all, for me redirection issue is solved.I think some unrelated files wp-admin folder and wp-content/themes folder
filenames like wp-texta.php,download.php etc

I think there is some unrelated files in wp-admin,wp-content/themes and plugins folder

Please check it might helpful you to resolve the issue.

Otherwise install different themes check it.

If we do google search as “megrontechuk” website,then select megrontech uk website link and redirects to https://www.official-mkbags.com

Google search is using an indirect link in order to get stats on the link, but getting it wrong. Bing uses direct links.

Do you have a Google Webmaster account? No charge.

Next you need a sitemap. I use Yoast SEO but there are other plugins that can do it. After loading this plugin, at Admin page > SEO > XML Sitemaps > XML Sitemap button, you can get the url of your sitemap. Note that this is a dynamic sitemap, created on demand, and not a file like it used to be in the old days. Submit this url to the submit sitemap option in your Google Webmasters account. Google will recrawl your site, hopefully in a few hours.

If this doesn’t fix the problem, some users have said the problem comes from .htaccess. Can’t see this doing it myself. But either post it here:

for us to look at, or rename it temporarily to put it out of action, and create a new one by going to Admin page > Settings > Permalinks and click “Save changes” twice. Again, you would have to wait for a Google recrawl or ask for one in your Webmasters account. Its just there could be something in it that you need, so if something else breaks, rename the old one back again.

OK, I tried disabling javascript in my browser and this fixed the issue. This indicates that you may have a malware javascript on your site that is causing the redirect. You say you fixed the issue a couple of months ago and its come back. This is also symptomatic of a virus infection.

I’ve scanned your site for malware and its come up clean, but as the scanning services all say, the absence of a positive is not proof of being virus free.

So, leading on from the article,
– do you have the latest version of WordPress?
– do you have a recent version of cpanel?
– do you have any suspicious folders in wp-includes?
(the normal ones are: certificates, css, fonts, IDS, images, js, pomo, SimplePie, text, theme-compat)

You could try wiping the wp-includes directory and replacing the files from a clean download, though there could be a risk here of wiping something that you need, so take a good backup before doing this.

Have you hardened your site. I use:
