• After latest WP and NG updates, I’ve got weird situation: after I upload some images to the gallery (no errors there) and click at ‘Manage Galleries’, I get to the home page which redirects to itself infinitely. The only way to get back to the admin is to delete all cookies. But even after that, clicking at ‘Manage Galleries’ will throw me back to the home page (without redirect loop). This last redirect can be cured by clearing up browser cache. But after upload I get to the next loop…

    There is my setup:

Operating System : Linux (64 Bit)
    Server : Apache/2.4.12 (Unix) OpenSSL/1.0.1e-fips mod_bwlimited/1.4
    Memory usage : 53.12 MByte

    SQL Mode : Not set
    PHP Version : 5.5.21
    PHP Safe Mode : Off
PHP Allow URL fopen : On
    PHP Memory Limit : 256
PHP Max Upload Size : 8M
PHP Max Post Size : 8M

@eugenem – There could be a plugin conflict going on here or at least it should be ruled out. Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN plugin?

If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers may address them as soon as they can.

Also to note, in rare cases it may be the theme itself that is causing a conflict so while you have just the NextGEN plugin activated you might consider temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if this corrects the issue as well.

If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know, even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional details.

    Thanks!

Well, some other plugins also do that, so I assume you’re not to blame. I’ll report when I finally find who’s responsible…

Cais is not helpful, he copied and pasted same answer to every issue reply, all the issues are from plugin conflict and theme conflict, if so, why need this support forum?

@robin Li – Yes, I may copy and paste text in some instances … with the premise of having basic troubleshooting done to give us a place to go forward from.

If a user/poster indicates they have gone through the same process (or similar) then we can carry forward from that point, if not … then it needs to be done.

ok, I’ve reduced it to the following:
    – only 2 plugins enabled: NextGEN Gallery and Contact Forms 7
    – default 2013 theme

When I save any contact form, I’m redirected to the home page, and then any attempt to enter admin lead to redirect to the home page. I use private mode of firefox, so if I restart firefox, I can get back to the admin, until I try to save another contact form.

If I disable Gallery, saving contact form works fine.

    I’ve got WP 4.3, Gallery 2.1.7

You’re welcome to contact me by mail and I’ll provide admin and ftp access.

@eugenem – We have not seen issues with Contact Form 7 previously (we use it on some of sites with NextGEN Gallery without issue as well) but you are more than welcome to send us a Bug Report (https://nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ … please reference this topic) so we can get a better look under the page at your site.

We may need temporary log in (and FTP) credentials for your WordPress installation, please consider those for your Bug Report, too.

    Thanks!

@eugenem – Thanks, I have responded to your Bug Report … it looks like there may be a plugin conflict on your site but lets keep the conversation to the Bug Report for the time being.
