• Hello. When I choose to select all of the images in a gallery and then choose “Edit” from the “Bulk Actions” menu, the list comes up and I am able to add comments, but when I save it a screen pops up that simply says “Are sure you want to do this?” and there nothing on that page except for a link that says “Try Again”. Neither just closing the box nor clicking that “Try Again” link yields any different effect: Nothing gets saved. If I only select 10 images or so, it works OK, but 10 images is not the purpose of a bulk action. Even if it would work on,say, 50 images, you still would have to select each image and there is no way in MaxGalleria to select anything less than all of them unless you manually click each on directly…not reasonable.

    How can I get this to work?

    DarkMG73,

    What is the total number of images in your gallery? I need to know this so I can do some tests.

    Hi, Alan. Thanks for the quick reply. The count of one gallery is 256. I have a few that are around 200 and they all have the same issue.

    Thanks again for your attention.

    This type of general error is encountered when memory resources are low or if the execution time is too long. I was able to save a bulk edit in a gallery of 60 images. If you are able to edit your site’s php.ini file, then you could increase the memory limit. In my php.ini these are some of the settings I am using:

    post_max_size = 100M
    memory_limit = 128M
    upload_max_filesize = 100M

    max_execution_time = 30
    max_input_time = 60

    Thanks, Alan. unfortunately, 60 is a long way from 200 and there is no way to select 60 out of the 200 pics unless you manually click the box for each one which is not worth it. I even set the memory limit above your specs and was able to increase the amount, but still I have to manually select that amount.

    It would seem the real issue is that there are no pages and the list simply displays every picture in the gallery. Pagination exists in the list of galleries (even the stock WP media Library has it), so can it be added to the list of pics within the gallery? It could work the same, where we could set the number of images in the list using the screen options. We could then set it for 50 or 60, bulk select them and edit.

    Is this something that could be implemented soon? I selected Maxgalleria (and purchased all of the addons) to create many large galleries and this is a tremendous obstacle.

    Thanks again for your time.

    We’ll consider what could be done to improve this process and let you know when a solution has been found.
