Can't get static front page

  • Very frustrated and ready to scrap WordPress for something easier to use.
    I have spent literally hours and this stupid site trying to understand why my front page keeps defaulting to a blog post. I cannot locate the settings to attempt to reset a static front page. Those settings seem to have disappeared. Want my money back !!

    I assume you mean the front page setting at Settings -> Reading keep disappearing?

    If so, please make sure that you have publicly published Pages in the Pages section of your blog’s Dashboard. The setting won’t appear if you only have Private or Draft (or no) Pages, and they will revert to just the blog posts if the set page is deleted or set to Private or Draft.
