• Hi…..

Currently, when someone forgot to fill his name and/or email in the box form on the comment form, then he/she will be redirected to a page saying:

Error: please fill the required fields (name, email).

i wanna know a way to make this more elegant to highlight the issue? i mean, when someone forgot to fill his name and/or email in the box form on the contact form, then he/she NOT will be redirected to a page, but still stay in the curent page/post, but he/she will recieve an error message prompting them to complete the form.

    please tell me

  • Seemingly there isn’t a way, unless you modify core files, which we never advise.

okay, i saw the example of what i want on the blog that using cform II plugin, you can test to leave a name and/or email in here, and you will receive message such as:

Please fill in all the required fields.

but, unfortunately, i don’t know how to modify thw wp’s core files, so please tell me

I never do that, so don’t ask me. Sorry. Ask that blog owner where you saw what you want.

    moshu,

i got i nice plugin to do that, Comment Fields JS Validation, i will try it, and i’ill post the report on here too, so please stay tune on here, okay :))

One of the problems that people complain to me about this is that when a user doesn’t add email address, etc as suggested above, Everthing that has been written disappears.

One client I have said she spent an hour typing a response (must of been a long one…), forgot to put in the email address and lost everything.

I too would like a better solution to this quite simple usability problem.

    Hello guys,

Thank you for using my plugin.
