[Plugin NextGEN] not updating

  • I am continually trying to update this plugin, but it keeps coming up with plugin update failed. Could not remove old plugin..

    tearing my hair out.

    this has been going on months.

    Ive also tried to delete the plugin, but keep getting this message:
    Plugin could not be deleted due to an error: Could not fully remove the plugin(s) nextgen-gallery/nggallery.php.
