I activated the Optimizer theme (free version) and the majority of features using the Customize is not working. Having used this theme previously on another site, the menu of options in Customize mode includes sections called ‘basic’ ‘header’ ‘front page’ etc. with several options under each. However, on my current site which just activated the theme, when I open Customize mode, all that appears is the word ‘widgets’ and it the options underneath don’t work. It just seems to be broken or not fully loading, or not sure what the issue is but it wont appear as normal or let me change any of the site appearance/settings.

I have tried it on several different browsers, computers, etc. but the same issue appears continually. Any idea what is wrong and how to fix it??!

Can you try disabling all the plugins and see if the issue persist?

Did that and it works now, thanks! Which plugins are okay to activate again? I feel nervous now about plugins causing issues like that but there will probably be a few that I want/need.

The plugins I had active are as follows:
Akismet, All in One SEO Pack, Contact Form 7, Feedburner Email Widget, Google Analystics Dashboard for WP, and Google XML Sitemaps

Sorry, Not sure about that. You will have to activate the plugin one by one and find out which one is causing this.

Same here! In my opinion, there seems to be a bug in the latest wordpress version. I tried to reinstall AND use their default themes and still unable to access the CUSTOMIZE page. What I see is it attempting to load, but the loading ball just keeps spinning.

No pages except for the default ‘sample page’ and othe default pages.

This is a barebones install. Try creating a sub-domain and installing a fresh wp install.

I have the same issue. Since I installed the recent update of WP, I can’t load the Customizer. I am using Divi Theme.
Anyone with a solution?
P.S All plugins are deactivated..
