Button Counter Stats Don't Show After Converting To HTTPS
-
We recently converted our whole site to displaying using HTTPS. Once this was done all social sharing buttons went back to zero. New articles posted after the switch show the stats fine but old article posted before this time have the zero counts. We have 1,000+ articles that were affected.
Based on what I can see from sharedcount.com, the data isn’t gone it is just tied to the http version of the post instead of the https version.
Example URL: https://www.calvertbeacon.com/ccso-retires-two-long-time-employees (HTTPS counters show zero)
Shared Count HTTP (100s of likes/shares): https://www.sharedcount.com/#url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.calvertbeacon.com%2Fccso-retires-two-long-time-employees%2F
Shared Count HTTPS: https://www.sharedcount.com/#url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.calvertbeacon.com%2Fccso-retires-two-long-time-employees%2F
Is there a way to migrate the http data to https or have the plugin pull both sets of data? Or, maybe another solution I haven’t thought of?
Thanks!
