Not getting email notification for comments

    For some reason I’m not getting email notification for new comments.
    Under users my email is correct. Under general settings my email is the same as the one under user
    under discussion settings and email me whenever I have the box checked for Anyone posts a comment. and A comment is held for moderation

    Not sure what the problem is

    I have the latest WP, this site is less then a week old

  • If you aren’t receiving any mails at all, check that SMTP is correctly configured with your latest credentials(if changed recently) on the site.

    I have a contact form set up and I receive emails from that but not for the comments, so it seems to be something comment related.

    Found the issue, it was Akismet, I deactivated the plugin and comments notification now works.
