How to make titles display on 'static' front page of Dazzling theme

Hello, for my front page, I am using a custom child template that shows only posts in a certain category. I assign it as the template for a ‘static’ front page. It is not really static, but something about static front pages makes all the post titles disappear. I have searched, and I see plenty of past queries about how to make titles disappear, but nothing about how to bring them back!

Is there a better way to make a category appear on the front page, or a way to display titles on a page that is supposedly static?
