warning message Unable to fork

    Hey guys…I jsut installed the plugin and started optimising image when I got multiple warning messages

    Warning: exec() [function.exec]: Unable to fork [/usr/bin/pngout 2>&1] in /home/caca3777/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/ewww-image-optimizer.php on line 1051

    and

    Warning: exec() [function.exec]: Unable to fork [/usr/gnu/bin/nice 2>&1] in /home/caca3777/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/ewww-image-optimizer.php on line 1086

    and
    Warning: exec() [function.exec]: Unable to fork [/usr/local/bin/optipng -v 2>&1] in /home/caca3777/public_html/wp-content/plugins/ewww-image-optimizer/ewww-image-optimizer.php on line 1035

    Not sure what it means or what should I do.

    It means one of two things (that I’m aware of):

    1. your server is out of memory
    2. your webhost is preventing shell redirection

    If you’re sure you have plenty of memory (not storage space, but actual working memory/RAM), then check with your webhost to see what they say about it.
