include email address in "send mail" option

    Hello,
    We have a login system that uses the email address instead of username when a user logs in.

    Can you tell me what to use in my template to include the users email address? see below.

    Instead of…
    Username = **username**
    Password = **password**

    I need…
    Username = **something-that-will-return-the-users-email-address**
    Password = **password**

    @carminemorra, did you find out how to include the user’s email address as the username?

    I too have a site setup that uses the email address instead of username and have been unable to find a solution to the issue you raised. Hoping you found a solution.

    I sure did. Javier is going to modify the plugin so that it can return the email address. Plus some other very cool features. Give him two weeks from today, August 18, 2015.

    I have a project that has a deadline before the two weeks. Can you share the fix for the email address return before the plugin update?

    Here’s the dillio. I’m paying Javier to make these changes. He’s on Holiday and then he’s got to do the work. I said two weeks because that was the general estimate from him.

    When he’s done the modifications will be added to the WP Repository. You’ll get it as soon as I do.

    Sorry about that. What’s another broken deadline between friends, right? ??

    Ok, no problem. I appreciate your quick responses and paying to add functionality to the plugin.

    I’ll use a work around in the meantime. I’m uploading users’ email addresses as their nickname. Then adding the nickname variable to the welcome email as their username for login.

    I’m using something else as the user’s display name so the user’s nickname isn’t being used on a public facing portion of the site anyway.

    It’s not a perfect solution but it works.
