Uploading a theme / changing admin on existing web host to WordPress

  • Okay so –

    two things. I’m trying to set up website Admin to route through wordpress, so that I can tailor my website from here.
    Secondly, I also want to upload a theme I have purchased, to wordpress, so that I can use it.

    I’ve tried everything, called multiple helplines and been charged about a hundred bucks in total, and I’m still getting nowhere.

    Help?

  • First Login to your cPanel.
    Go to “File Manager”.
    Look there a folder called “public_html”
    Download fresh WordPress(Current version is 4.2.4)
    Then unzip it and upload the contents(files) of the WordPress folder to “public_html” folder.

    Secondly, I also want to upload a theme I have purchased, to wordpress, so that I can use it.

    Then upload your purchased theme to WordPress through cPanel.
    See there is a folder called “themes”. You find it in “wp-content” folder.
