    I’ve got wordfence installed and it sends me emails just fine but for some reason I don’t get email from any contact forms. I’ve tried cf7, wp-antispam’s built in cf and fs contact and none of them go through yet wordfence’s goes through just fine. I’ve tried deactivating wordfence but the contact forms still don’t work.
    So how exactly does wordfence send email that might differ from one of the contact forms?

    Thanks, John

  • Hi John,

    I might be able to help answer this. (I’m the author of WP-SpamShield.)

    All three plugins send mail the same way, using the built-in WordPress core function, wp_mail(), which in turn uses the PHP mail() function.

    It’s likely not an issue with any of the three plugins… see this FAQ.

    Hope that helps!

    Actually I fixed it by disabling protection for cf7 on your plugin and posted on the wp-spamshield forum here but thanks for answering this one.

    Thanks @scott for the help!

    @john: I answered your other post a bit more in depth, so you’ll want to check that out. I’m glad you have things working, but keep in mind that doing that just disables the anti-spam protection, it doesn’t actually fix the core email issue. I’ll see you on the other forum post to help you out with this. ??

    @tim: No problem…any time! ??
