Different Variation Problem After Update

I updated to WooCommerce 2.4.4 and am having a different sort of problem with variations. All the issues I have found so far in forums concerned issues with the front end, but in my case, I can’t access the settings for variations in the back end. They have completely disappeared from view, which is puzzling because they continue to operate normally on the front end. Attributes are still fine, but all I get on the variations tab is “10 items/ 1 of 1.

What am I missing here?
