Woocomerce – Update Failed, Site was stuck in Maintenance Mode

Apparently, I’m not the only one having update issues. I tried to update from 2.4.3 to 2.4.4 and it got stuck updating. The progress wheel just kept spinning.
My site was stuck in maintenance for 5 or so minutes (even on the back end) then reverted to say I still needed the update.
It doesn’t appear to have messed anything up. Knock on wood. But how would I know? Do I need to scour lines of code for errors?
I’ve sen other threads today about update issues; but not this one. And WooCommerce forum for some sad reason decided that they don’t need to host a forum.
