• Hi,

I am trying to create a website using the theme sydney. The theme has a lot of widgets i could use. But the problem is i dont know how to add them into the theme home page (below the header and above the footer). I tried to do it through the Appearance–widgets, where i have the option to add widgets only on the sidebars and the footer area.
I tested adding the service widget on the sidebar and it says that to get it displayed i will have to add some services from the admin area. I dont know what this means. will be very grateful if anybody can help.

(I have no knowledge of creating websites :P)

    Thank you.

  • Here’s a good starting place.

Basically, to make your site look like the Sydney demo, you’ll want to install:
    – SiteOrigin Widgits Bundle
    – Page Builder by SiteOrigin
    – Types by OnTheGoSystems

To use the client, testimonials, etc. you’ll then need to download and import Types settings (see opening link).

Once this is all done, you’ll be able to access PageBuilder from your page/post editor. This will, in turn, allow you to add a collection of widgits like the Sydney demo.

    Good luck.
