    Hello,

Thanks for the great support. The page builder really makes routine spacing so much easier when quick editing. I want to use it, but I’m having trouble with two widgets: Recent Posts Extended and Ultimate Posts. These are a couple of the better widgets for highlighting posts based on publish date, and it would be great if the page builder would load them. Is this an easy fix?

    Thanks.

Hi Michel! Sorry you’re having trouble. Sure enough, I wasn’t able to get either of those plugins working on my end either. We’ll definitely look into a fix.

In the meantime, there’s a couple of options. Both of those plugins have all of their settings/options in the widget panel. I would guess that this is where the issue stems from. If you could find another, similar plugin that is shortcode based, I would bet that would work better.

And or, we do have a posts module in the premium versions of Beaver Builder, so that is always an option. Thanks for letting us know about the issue!

    Hi Michael,

I did some testing and unfortunately, it looks like these widgets aren’t compatible with Beaver Builder. The reason being is that Beaver Builder uses WordPress’ the_widget function to display widgets and $widget->form method to display the form.

Since widgets in Beaver Builder aren’t actually added to a sidebar, this issue typically comes up when a widget isn’t coded to work this way. For example, the Ultimate Posts widget is throwing a lot of errors when we try to render the form which is preventing it from being displayed.

Additionally, their CSS/JS for the form is only loaded in wp-admin. Even if the form is loaded, it wouldn’t fully function on the frontend. I tested this with SiteOrigin’s builder and got the same result.

Sorry I don’t have a better answer for you! You may try contacting the devs to see if they can get these working with Beaver Builder as that would have to be done on their end.

Thank you so much for trying! Can’t make ’em all work.
