  • Same problem happens at my site, too.
It solves after turn off this plugin.
But I need this plugin strongly, so please update ASAP.

I too am unable to switch between Visual editor & Text editor tabs in posts & pages after the update to 4.3. After extensive troubleshooting & testing, PS Disable is the plugin causing this issue.

I know 4.3 had some changes for wpautop, but I’m no help in trying to fix this. Hopefully, it will be a quick fix — we have dozens of clients who rely on this plugin for keeping their content formatted.

I ended up migrating to “Toggle wpautop.” I actually like it a bit better because it allows me to use it on a per-page / per-post basis.

Hopefully that will help you all out until this one gets updated.

I’m having the same issue, but switching plugins didn’t resolve the issue. At this point, I’d love to keep using this plugin as it has worked like a charm.

How soon can we expect a fix?

@msutyler: per Support Forum guidelines, please do not bump. It does not help!

There were changes related to wpautop function in the last update.

I found that disabling this plugin let me not only switch between visual & text editors, but also entering content into the visual editor, my spacing was preserved. I think.

For now, I’ve disabled this plugin to see how it goes. Perhaps it’s no longer needed?

Same problem here and more : if activated and NextGen Gallery is on too, if you save a new Post (old post are ok, still you don’t update them) with a Gallery, all your post (the_content()) will be replace by the excerpt with the gallery on the bottom.

Disable PS Disable Auto Formatting resolved the text editors pb and NextGen Gallery pb.

I found a temporary solution until the plugin is updated.
Install HTML Editor Syntax Highlighter plugin and the text panel should work.

Carefull though, it seems that it will reset the formating of your posts. I suggest making a backup of your site or test it first on a local version.

It is the TAB that stop working. If your in the Visual when you activate the plugin, it will remain there, you won’t be able to switch to the code editor.

You can use the plugin “TinyMCE Advanced”, it has the option and it does not conflict with WP 4.3.1

@murray Thank you so much for the plugin link! I too searching an alternative for this plugin since it’s developer no longer supporting it.

    Same issue here.

Same here. It’s an important plugin. I hope that the author will update it, even if it needs to go “Pro” for fee-for-use.
