Content visible in editor but not on website

Are you using any sort of caching plugin, or do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar? If so, would you please try clearing the cache?

Note: You do not need to install a caching plugin at this point just to clear a cache you don’t have. If you don’t have a caching plugin or a way to clear a server-level cache, just say so. ??

I haven’t seen such an option before and I don’t see one now when looking. Where might it be? I definitely don’t have a caching plugin but I could try it if there’s a built-in one. What else should I try if not that?

Also, I tried switching from my child theme to Genesis but the problem persisted. It could still be a Genesis issue maybe.

Ok, try deactivating all plugins. If that resolves the issue, reactivate each one individually until you find the cause.

If that does not resolve the issue, try switching to the Twenty Fifteen theme to rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

1. I just see an image there. I’m assuming there should be text somewhere?

2. Are you using any plugins to build this post, or are any plugins involved in its creation?

3. Are you creating this in the post editor under wp-admin, or are you using an app or post editor elsewhere?

4. I see a post titled “On Mental Illness” in your feed at https://thatcentristblog.com/mental-illness/ published today, but nothing in your feed for https://thatcentristblog.com/on-mental-illness and nothing in your feed published August 16 (which is the date on the alleged post). Is https://thatcentristblog.com/on-mental-illness perhaps a Page, not a post?

I decided to copy and paste the text into a new post and delete the old. I’m sorry to have used up your time. I couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working on the original. Before I deleted it, a blurb would appear on the homepage but when clicked, only the featured image showed. In the editor my whole post was intact. I used no plugin or app to create it – just post editor in wp-admin.

Well, at least it worked this time. ??

In the end, that’s all that really matters, but please let us know if it ever happens again.
