  • Same here: password always says it is set to “both” (which it isn’t). I’ve tried the workaround:

    And that doesn’t work, either. This is a serious issue: every new user contacts admin to say the password doesn’t work, which is a LOT of extra workload.

    And while we’re here, the text for shortcodes now says to use [plaintext_password] instead of [user_password] as it always was. Which is it? (Neither works.)

    TIEro, for the record I’m using [plaintext_password] together with the hack advised by danbodenstein, and it works for me.
