site is no longer working with any theme, reinstall failed

  • I’m having trouble figuring out why my site is no longer loading any themes correctly.
    There is no error message. It just says “Nothing Found”
    I’m a newbie, but had my site up and running using the Matheson theme. I had a child theme and had altered the code in the header to use my own logo. It worked great. 2 days ago, using Filezilla FTP I changed the logo again and thats when the trouble started.
    I emptied the Safari cache, renamed the plugins folder, deactivated the few plugins that I had.
    I deleted the Matheson child theme, and parent theme. Activated the default theme.

    I worked on this for 2 days, and finally decided to reinstall the new 4.3 per forum advice given to others. No change. I did not touch the wp-config file or the contents folder or the database yet.
    I think I could use some advice before I go any further. my site is
