Photos not loading correctly from media library into boot strap slider in evolve
-
I have a photo in each of the 5 available boot strap slider slots and each image is 1200 x 450 pixels. These are held, with other images, in the media library of my host 1 and 1. The images fit exactly and the ‘slide show’ works fine. There is a thumbnail of each photo in the menu of the boot strap slider on the left-hand side and each one is scaled down version of 1200 x 450 pixels – i.e., the ratio of the format is the same.
I have now tried to insert a new image from the media library to replace existing ones. These new images are also 1200 x 450 pixels but when loaded into the evolve template, at the location where the photo should be, is just a large square patch of blue space (the same width, but longer top to bottom to form the square) and the thumbnail on the left-hand side is also a squared image. For no obvious reason, the images appear to be automatically reformatted during import from the media library. Very confusing. I can see no reason why this should happen. I also tried loading existing images fro the library and the same phenomena happened.
I would be grateful if somebody could shed some light on why I have experienced this problem and either recommended a fix or point me in the right direction of where to search for a resolution. I haven’t modified my blog for a few weeks and have loaded the most recent version – wondered if the problem lies here or not?
Thank you.
Kind regards, Andy
