Facebook plugin and HTTP 414 errors

The Facebook Plugin by Facebook, uses $post->post_content when building the og:description meta tag if there is no custom post excerpt. There is no check for the size of the description. This can cause an HTML 414 status when clicking on a share button on posts with large content.
I have a path which seems to fix the problem. I’d be willing to make the patch available if there is any possibility of a maintenance release of the plugin.
