• Hi!

Thanks for the plugin. I switched yesterday from the standard plugin to yours. It seems great – though I have a problem:

I’m using PayPal Express and some customers cannot get past the Review Order page. When they click “Place Order”, nothing happens.

I cannot reproduce this error, have you heard of this problem and a possible solution?

In the meantime, I have disabled that page in the settings. Am I correct to assume that whatever problems with that page will not affect the payment at the moment, since I disabled that step?

If you don’t need shipping/tax then yeah, setting “Skip Final Review” should eliminate the problem for you.

We have had a couple of other reports of this, but we are unable to reproduce it as well, so it’s proving difficult to troubleshoot.

Do you have a copy of your site on a test server, or can you set one up so we can troubleshoot directly on a site where it’s happening?

Do you know what browser your user that experienced this problem was using?

I need shipping/tax, but I need completed orders more ??

I don’t have a test site, but will set up one in the coming days to test.

Browser: It looks like they use different browsers. Chrome, FF, Edge, Safari. I can’t look at individual failed orders, I don’t have access to those logs.

I switched to your plugin since I had a problem before: When some customers arrived at PayPal, they got an error message “Your shopping cart is empty”. Can these two errors be connected?

What plugin were you using when you were getting that problem?

I doubt they’re connected. I just need to figure out what’s causing this. I did have the same problem prior to our last update, but we made some adjustments that seemingly resolved it, and I still cannot reproduce it now.

Obviously, there must be some particular set of variables that is still causing it. We’re working to get to the bottom of it.

?I think I may have found what is causing this. Can you please go to your WP admin panel, then go to WooCommerce -> Settings -> General tab.
    ?
?Within that you’ll find an option for Default Customer Address. Is yours set to Geolocate (with page caching support)?
    ?
On my test server I am able to reproduce this when I have the value set to that, but if I change it to any other value the problem goes away.
    ?
?We’ll get this resolved in an update, but in the mean-time I think you can just change it update the setting and it’ll fix it for you.

I used the standard PayPal plugin before (included in WooCommerce).

Nope, I have it set to “Geolocate”.

I’m using the plugin W3TC though.

Ah, I think that could be the issue then. Can you try disabling that to see if the problem goes away?

Seems like maybe with caching enabled the javascript isn’t loading correctly which then breaks that button.

Yeah, I can do that once I have a test site and I can reproduce the problem ??

We just released the 1.1.6.3.7 update, which as explained above, is a rollback update that removes the problematic adjustments that were included in 1.1.6.3.5.

Please update accordingly, and then it is recommended that you go into the settings for each gateway that you have enabled, review the settings, and then click Save even if you don’t change anything.

You’ll also need to make sure you clear any caching/CDN services you might have in place.

Then the problems that you’ve been facing should be resolved. Please let me know.
