Appointment settings for flexibility

Hi there,
I am having trouble working out how to set the appointments settings to get the flexibility I need.Basically my service goes for 60mins but I want clients to be able to book on the half hour, then the system should block out the next hour.
So I set the base duration to 30mins and service duration to 60mins but what this does is change the time blocks to 60mins instead of 30mins.
Can you please help with how I can do this?
