Theme doesnt change in actual view

OK, I am admittedly new to this so take that into consideration. I have change/activated a new theme on my website (using ipage) but when I go to “view site” it keeps going back to the old theme and then all the links are broken. Hopefully this is enough info to figure out what I may be doing wrong. I simply went to themes and activated a new theme. When I am editing pages, working in my dashboard the new theme is showing but when I look at the actual site view it is back to the old one. Thanks for any help you can give.
