    Hi,

I am the owner of https://airtoolguy.com/ – Jetpack block me from getting to my login page.

This is the message when I come to the login page: “Your IP (54.209.60.63) has been flagged for potential security violations. Find out more…”

Steps I have taken trying to resolve the problem:
_Delete the Jetpack plugin folder (via FTP)
_Disconnect Jetpack from my site (via WordPress.com)
_Try logging in different places (my house, office, friend’s house)

    Nothing works!

Please help me resolve the problem.

    Thank you,

    Jim

No idea. The day before I can still log in. And boom the next day it blocks me.

The find out more leads me to https://jetpack.me/support/security-features/. I tried to follow advice found online but not work out. Really frustrated.

hm is the security feature enabled by default or did you enable it like this? => https://jetpack.me/support/security-features/#enable

How about checking out your IP, then whitelisting it as described above then logging in and disabling the security?

Did the same as mentioned but it didn’t worked..
Also tried deleting jetpack from file manager but it also didn’t worked..

did you try via wp-config.php or entering via wordpress.com?
    I’d give both a try…

deleting the plugin should have unblocked you though…
sorry cannot help more than this…

    sorry

    Howdy @soloism,

I just wanted to follow-up here. I know you’ve been a few rounds chatting with James on this to see if you needed anything further.

@techtecknik – If deleting Jetpack didn’t resolve it, it sounds like it was something other than Jetpack doing it.

Generally speaking, if you’re blocked, you should be offered a math question. If you’re not being offered a math question, then there has been a relative lot of activity from your IP address providing incorrect passwords to sites using Protect.

Sometimes, it can be something as simple as a password change on your site, but your mobile apps are still using the old password. For a mobile or desktop app, each action can often result in multiple login attempts (you’re not “logged in” with these apps as much as they continually request permission with each request).

In other words, trying to view a list of posts, then trying to edit one could result in 3 or more failed logins pretty darn quick.

    Cheers,

    Hello Brandon,

Thanks for following up. The issue is solved now. It happens to be a cache that keep displaying the page. Might caused by my WP Rocket plugin.

    Thanks,

    Jimmy
