After updating WordPress to 4.3, I attempted to update Stream to the latest plugin version. Result was broken site – white page with no error messages displayed with WP_DEBUG set to TRUE. Not great, folks. Had to restore a backup, and delete the older version of the plugin.

OK – so this time I deactivated the older version of Stream, and then deleted the plugin, and then reinstalled 3.0.0 from the WordPress repository. Failed again, same result. Just above the Plugins list in the dashboard, I see the red-bar notification message:

class wasn’t loaded because it doesn’t implement the get_label method.

I had to deactivate and delete the plugin to restore my site operation.

Seems like this one may not be ready for 4.3?

Are you using MainWP? We’ve noticed problems with MainWP users, and MainWP have advised not to upgrade Stream since they haven’t got their plugins working with the new version yet.

Just in case you are using MainWP – it’s a problem on their end. I’ve already fixed the problem for them and sent them the fix. Just waiting for them to include it and release an update.

Yes – we are using MainWP – thanks for the insight. I will reinstall Stream once the MainWP fix rolls out.

    Thanks Usableweb. Marking as resolved.
