I’ve been using this plugin for about 4 months without any problems. Since the last update 1.7 the page load and dashboard have slowed right down. I disable the plugin and things speed up again. If I try and drop back to v.1.6 I have the same issue. There is nothing in the error logs and right now I’ve had to deactivate the plugin. I know that I need to test with the stock Wordress theme and all plugin disabled, but I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this before I move into troubleshooting mode.

  • Thanks Barnez. Could you please check which PHP version your site has? We now require at least PHP 5.4 or above.

Thanks for the suggestion. The version is 5.4.43, so probably not a potential culprit.

    Ok, thanks for checking this.

If you go back to v. 1.6 and have the same issue (and it used to work fine with that version), that means it’s not because of the plugin, or? Did you do anything else in the meantime?

Yea, usually the rollback is the magic bullet if the update is the problem. Which is why it’s puzzling. The only other change has been an update to the LayerSlider plugin, so there could be conflict there. I’ll need to check …

Resolved. I deactivated all plugins and then reactivated Ultimate Social Media PLUS first, followed by the rest. Everything functioning as it should be.

Ok, cool! Thanks for letting us know.
