How to dequeue Google fonts?

Thanks! I saw these decisions. But they are all based on the change in core files. And after the next wp update my changes will be lost. And I’m looking for a solution that would not affect the core files. Maybe Disable Google Fonts plugin will solve this problem. But I have not tested it yet.

The font is enqueued in a wp core file but neither of those links proposed changing the core files. They both mention a plugin, and the second one also discusses using a function in a child theme functions.php file.
