Hi @chrissolve Please do not post spam like that on these forums.

If you like then create a pastebin.com paste and post the link to that pastebin.

So was this a real question with an unfortunate amount of example spam, or was it a spam post? ??

    Hi,
sorry for posting that example spam, I hoped, you can analyse it and find a way to mark all these as spam. This obviousley is a try to increase seo score of these sites and I do not publish even one of them but in my comment system, it is har to get rid of it, because they are so long and if I don’t want to erase normal comments also, I must scroll through more than 100 per month…

    best regards
    Chris

Maybe, if a comment consists of more than 10 links, it should be marked as spam automatically?

    Hi Chris,

Could you post some samples of spam to pastebin (linked by Jan)?
Maybe the using a RegEx pattern hook might be a solution?

That’s already a feature in WordPress itself.

I’m marking this as resolved now since you haven’t provided us with an example of the spam comment on Pastebin (which would have been very helpful).

    Hi Chris,

The “BBCode is spam” option in Antispam Bee should have marked those comments as spam, because the links are created with BBCode url tags (as used in forums, but no WP comment forms, which is probably why WP doesn’t mark it as spam on its own).

Did you have “BBCode is spam” deactivated or did the feature miss those and 100+ similar comments? Then that’d be a bug.

Also, you can enable the “Use regular expressions” which has already predefined hooks may catch similar spams (not exactly those posted with ‘.co.uk’ domain and ‘gmail’ address, but detects ‘.com’ + ‘gmail’).

    Greetings,
    ./Simon
