Tag cloud on homepage

  • How can I add a tag cloud (or other form of navigation, leveraging tags and categories) onto the homepage?

    I’m referring to a homepage which shows latest posts (i.e., NOT a static homepage). The ideal place for such navigation, therefore, would be below the static homepage content and the posts.

    I should add that I’m hoping to show the tag cloud on a single column layout (I know that a cloud can be added to a sidebar).

    Or, even more broadly: I’m hoping to give users the ability to view/filter (or even sort) posts by category and tag.

    Any suggestions?
