Does that mean that I will have to move wordpress site to another server? Cant it be done from WPadmin panel?

No you don’t have to change server, you can just update the URL of your installation.

Also of course you need point your new domain name’s DNS or nameservers to your host.

Should be able to do it by changing the URL right in the general settings

I have changed the site url in wordpress, but I am not sure on pointing new domain name’s DNS or nameservers to your host. To what DNS should i point the new domain to? Any ideas?

xyz and abc are on Same Host? if yes then you need to change URl only from databse or from admin: site_url and home URl
