Customize Header and Top line menu

Hi

I want to customize my header, in particular i would like the menu to run accross as a single line rather than sit inside the box https://www.addisoncommercial.com I am a amateur so not comfortable with code etc for fear or breaking the site, is there a simple way to do this?
