Here is the regular expression I used (actually my husband used) to redirect my permalinks from domain/year/mo/postname to domain/postname
Source URL: /201[0-9]/[0-9][0-9]/(.*)/
Target URL: /$1/
I have no idea how or why it works, my husband is a developer and he saw my frustration and took pity on me.
